Alamosa Design Associates, Inc. is a full service Design, Management & Planning Firm specializing in all aspects of high-end luxury Residential Interior Design. We bring extensive technical and management experience from both large and small scale construction, as well as educational backgrounds in Architecture and the Arts.

We have the rare combination of not only having the perspective of high design but also delivering our services at the level of expectation of the private developer and the corporate world, thus delivering projects of enduring value.

Connie Maxwell

Connie Maxwell has been at the forefront of the development of large-scale mixed-use project for the last ten years both here at Alamosa and formerly as a senior associate at Gary Handel and Associates Architects. Graduating from Columbia University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in English and Architecture, she began the relationship with Handel in New York at Kohn Pederson Fox Architects, doing large scale international mixed-use competitions for two years. She co-founded Alamosa in 2002.

In 2015 Connie was awarded a master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico and in 2020 was awarded a PhD in Water Science and Management from New Mexico State University.

Richard Davidson

Richard Davidson received his bachelor of architecture degree from Southern California Institute Architecture (SCI-ARC) and has worked for internationally renowned firms such as Andree Putman of Paris, Massimo Vignelli of New York, and Charles Pfister of San Francisco. He spent over a decade in Italy involved in projects such as the Four Seasons Milan, the hotel renovation of a 17th century palace in the historic city center as Client Representative and Senior Designer. There, he headed his own design studio before returning to San Francisco to establish Alamosa with Connie Maxwell. In 2016 Richard was awarded a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of New Mexico.
